During the premiere screening of Gloria Steinem’s new series in New York on Wednesday, Jennifer Lawrence showed up to lend her celebrity status. The 25-year-old actress made a bold statement in a black minidress with a scoop neckline and a semi-sheer lace panel over the skirt that ended above her knees. Her attire showed off her feminine side, and she was keen to support the Woman series, which discusses women’s rights in various parts of the globe.
The roots of her hair were peeking through, contrasting the platinum blonde dye she had used to fashion a feather-like bob that ended just above her shoulders. Her eyebrows were highlighted with a brown pencil, while she added some rouge and a pop of bright red lipstick to complete her look.
At a special screening, both Jennifer and Steinem wore black outfits. Steinem, the feminist icon who is now 82, donned a black top and pants, along with a black leather jacket embellished with studs. Jennifer was accompanied by her director from Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, David O. Russell, who wore a white shirt with a black suit and tie. The show Woman will air on Viceland starting May 10, covering topics ranging from sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo to femicide in El Salvador, unacknowledged murdered and missing women in Canada, and the incarceration of mothers in America.

Meryl Streep was present as well, dressed in a stylish black coat with a deep blue wrap wrapped elegantly around her neck.
